About TBAEP Committees

We highly encourage members to get involved within the TBAEP. This is Your TBAEP. We are a nonprofit and all the events and initiatives that we undertake are a success because of our active volunteers and sponsors. Committees are based on the goals outlined in the TBAEP mission statement. If you do not find the committee that fits your perfectly in the list below please contact the TBAEP board of directors about forming a new committee to meet your needs. Your participation helps us to succeed at growing the membership, providing members bigger and better events, giving back to the community and supporting young professionals.

To get involved, please send us an email to  tbaep@faep-fl.org  with your name and committee choice(s).

Member orientations happen twice a year in February and October. They are great ice breaker events that are very casual and give you a chance to come by, hear a presentation about all that TBAEP has to offer, and ask questions. Come by and ask us where your expertise can help us most!
TBAEP maintains several channels to keep the membership up to date on latest events, news, sponsor and volunteer requests.  Follow us on Facebook and LinkedIn for updates and join the email list to get invites and reminders to our upcoming events.
The Rising Star Student Scholarship is awarded to Students who demonstrate outstanding leadership. TBAEP gives up to two awards per semester and is currently trying to reach $100,000.00 in our fund so that it can help maintain itself through interest. Help us reach that goal!

Nominate Someone for an Environmental Award

We all take amazing photos these days with our DSLRs and 12 Megapixel smartphones! Many of our members are also in the field a lot. The Annual Photo Contest is a fundraiser for the Rising Star Student Scholarship. Get involved by participating and submitting your best Florida environment and industry photos!
The environmental awards for Professional of the Year, Project of the Year and Lifetime Acheivement are a great way to honor your own work or that of your colleagues while also supporting TBAEP.  Our Awards lunch in May is often one of our most well attended and gets the nominees and TBAEP additional exposure.
Not sure if you have the time to commit to a committee? We are glad to have assistance at any of our events icluding lunches, networking socials, and community service. Check out the calendar and let us know what event you are interested in and we'll connect you to the lead Board member for that event.
